Cottonwood County communities have set Halloween trick-or-treat hours for the annual event on Oct. 31.
All communities will hold trick-or-treating on Sunday, Oct. 31, but the hours vary by city.
Trick-or-treating hours in Windom and Westbrook are from 4 to 8 p.m.; while hours in Mt. Lake and Jeffers are 4 to 7 p.m. Storden’s trick-or-treating hours are from 3 to 6 p.m.
Anyone wishing to have trick-or-treaters come to their door should turn on their outdoor light to signal they welcome trick-or-treaters. When done for the evening, homeowners should turn off the light.
In addition, Westbrook will host a couple of events connected with Halloween. W.A.V. (Westbrook Area Volunteers) are holding a Family Fall Festival at the Westbrook Community Center from 2-4 p.m., while the Westbrook Women’s Club is holding a Halloween Parade, starting at the Westbrook Library at 4:30 p.m.
