Big South Conference Meet
The Windom Eagle boys took fourth and the girls sixth in the small school division of the Big South Conference Meet, which was held Tuesday in Pipestone.
The team scoring was determined as a whole with all teams in both the small and large school divisions. Worthington was the overall boys champion, while Luverne was the small school champion. Windom’s boys were sixth overall with 138 points.
For the girls, large school champ Marshall and small school champ Luverne tied for the overall championship. Windom’s girls were ninth overall with 229 points.
Windom had one individual all-conference runner. That was freshman Kaylee Walklin, who smashed her career-best time by finishing second in the small school division and fourth overall with a time of 18:35.
Alivia Letcher placed 27th in the division in her varsity debut (23:23), immediately followed by Charlotte Nauman in 28th (23:23). Ella Smith was 38th (24:37) and Aubri Spielman was 40th (24:50).
For the boys, two ended up earning honorable mention all-conference honors by finishing between eighth and 14th in the division.
Charlie Smith captured 13th place in the division, finishing in 17:43. He was immediately followed by Aaden Nauman in 14th (17:44). Jacob Green finished 16th (17:59), followed by Eli Bordewyk in 18th (18:05) and Thomas Green in 19th (18:09).
