Tonight at 7 p.m., the Windom School Board will hold the second of two public meetings regarding the upcoming election.
Tonight’s meeting is in the Windom Area Elementary Commons.
On Nov. 2, the public will be asked:
• To renew the current operating levy of $613 per pupil for an additional seven years.
• To consider a capital technology levy of $300,000 each year for the next seven years.
School officials stress that a “yes” vote renews the current operating levy — it does not increase it. District officials also say the capital technology levy would be an increase and addresses significant technology needs that have emerged in recent years.
