It appears the long-running Pow Wow name issue has been laid to rest, at least for 2022.
The Mt. Lake Chamber of Commerce has announced that its board recently voted to not change the name of the community’s celebration for 2022. A recent survey apparently played a key role in that decision.
“Going forward, the board will continue to keep an open line of communication with the community, stakeholders in the matter and the Community Celebration Task Force that was established in the fall of 2020 by the Chamber board to take a deep dive into the community celebration name issue,” said Chamber Director Rob Anderson.
