The Windom Eagles rallied from a two-set deficit Tuesday night but couldn’t finish the match off, falling 3-2 to Redwood Valley at Redwood Falls.
The Cardinals won the first two sets before the Eagles roared back, winning sets three and four. In the final set, Redwood jumped to an early lead and never relinquished it.
Kendyl Sammons and Sydney Skarphol each had three ace serves for Windom in the loss. Tristyn Maras led the Eagles with 23 kills while Skarphol added 12. Jenna Veenker finished with 16 set assists. Sammons had a team-high 13 digs.

After a wild two sets to open the match, Westbrook-Walnut Grove settled into its rhythm Tuesday, pulling away for a 3-1 victory over Murray County Central at Westbrook.
WWG won the opening set 28-26, then dropped a 25-23 decision. But good balance at the net proved key for the Chargers.
Kelsey DeSmith finished with 20 kills, followed by Natalie Wahl with 12 and Abby Wiggins with 10. Addeson Jenniges went 21-of-22 serving with three aces and added 41 set assists. Isabella Rentschler had a team-high 25 digs.

A milestone night led to a solid victory for Red Rock Central Tuesday as the Falcons swept Adrian-Ellsworth 3-0 at Lamberton.
Falcon senior middle hitter Karli Arkell finished with 23 kills, surpassing the 1,000 kill mark for her career in the process.
Sondra Rindfleisch fired four ace serves in the win. Nora Hemmingsen had 21 set assists. Lilly Stavnes tallied 19 digs.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey put up a big battle Tuesday, but Southwest Christian was able to claim a pair of tight sets to earn a 3-1 victory at Edgerton.
SWC won the opening set 27-25 before the Wolverines rallied for a 25-22 win. SWC then rolled in set three before winning a tight fourth set.
Michala Morin led the Wolverines with 12 kills in the loss. Brooke Naas added nine kills and was 24-of-24 serving with an ace. Thaila Sengchan went 12-of-12 serving with an ace.
Jaci Tollefson handed out 24 set assists and had a team-high 14 digs.
