Seniors Zach Squires and Erika Lopez were crowned Windom Area High School’s 2021 homecoming king and queen during coronation ceremonies Monday evening in the Windom Area Middle High School Gold Gym.
The duo will reign over Homecoming Week at WAHS, which officially began Monday and wraps up Saturday with the homecoming dance in the Gold Gym.
Other queen candidates were Saije Galer, Vanessa Garcia, Amelia Rivera, Kendyl Sammons and Sydney Skarphol.
Other king candidates were Dylan Evers, Vance Koch, Evan Mathis, Kinn Oilouch and Carter Vancura.
Homecoming Week continues with dress-up days for each day of the week, a bonfire at Island Park on Wednesday night and a half-day of activities on Friday followed by the homecoming football game against Redwood Valley at Island Park. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
