Though Minnesota’s budget is balanced, and another state budget surplus has been projected for the next biennium, Minnesota faces a billion-dollar problem, according to Rep. Rod Hamilton of Mt. Lake.
Hamilton added that, without action Minnesota’s job providers could pay the price.

“It is my hope that legislative leaders will come to their senses in January and utilize available federal dollars to pay off this federal debt.”
