Windom Area Foundation fund drive gains another $7,000

The Windom Area Foundation fund drive which has seen considerable momentum within the past week, picked up another $7,000 over the weekend, bringing the grand total to $161,097.

A half-page ad in this week’s Citizen lists all of the donors by name and shows that the drive not only gained revenue, but that the funds came from multiple sources. The full list of donors, can be found in a half-page ad in the Oct. 2 Shopper. The ad explains how individuals, businesses and groups can give to the fund drive.

The Foundation uses the funds and interest income to assist specific projects as it works to improve the area’s quality of life. Foundation board anticipates assisting projects such as a new Windom veterans memorial along Highway 60-71 and also a Lions Club shelter at Cottonwood Lake.
