Late in Tuesday’s regular meeting, Jenny Quade of the Windom City Council addressed neighbors’ noise complaints regarding Tegels Park at Cottonwood Lake.
The complaint involved what the person saw as excess noise at the volleyball courts. Quade told the council that police see noise, such as yelling and laughing, to be a natural thing at parks. However, the use of amplification and any profanity can be another matter.
Also, Quade said the Park and Recreation committee has looked at the potential of adding a second sand volleyball court at another location, considering the popularity of the sport.
