BREAKING: Windom Area Foundation gets big gift from Bank Midwest

Today, Windom Area Foundation board members received word that the Foundation’s fund drive received a major boost from Bank Midwest.

According to Bank Midwest’s Windom Market President Justin Schmit, the bank’s gift to the foundation has reached $30,000, one of the top two gifts to date. Multiple new gifts and the names of previous donors, can be found in a half-page ad in the Sept. 25 Shopper.

The ad explains how individuals, businesses and groups can give to the fund drive.

The Foundation uses the funds and interest income to assist specific projects as it works to improve the area’s quality of life. Foundation board anticipates assisting projects such as a new Windom veterans memorial along Highway 60-71 and also a Lions Club shelter at Cottonwood Lake.
