At a recent Windom Tree Commission meeting, Dave Bucklin of the commission discussed a $5,000 grant from Watonwan Watershed Wellhead Protection.
The grant allows the commission to add 50 trees (six to eight feet tall) to be planted within the vulnerable well head protection area around Legion Field at the Windom Recreation Area. The cost share will be 85/15 with the city paying 15%.
