Windom EDA board OKs Cemstone deal

At Monday’s regular meeting, the Windom Economic Development Authority took another step toward a major housing development project on the south shore of Cottonwood Lake.

The board unanimously approved a letter of intent to purchase the 34-acre Cemstone concrete plant site, with plans for taking early possession on Sept. 14 and closing sometime before Dec. 14.

In addition, the board approved a letter of intent for Cemstone to purchase a site of just under six acres in North Windom Industrial Park.
