Windom superintendent reports longer bus ride times

In a letter to parents late yesterday afternoon, Windom Superintendent Wayne Wormstadt apologized for the lateness of the afternoon school bus routes.

“We are experiencing a bus driver shortage similar to most districts in Minnesota,” Wormstadt said in the letter. “This has forced us to combine some bus routes which is creating longer ride times. This, combined with the first day of elementary and ensuring students were getting on the correct buses, created a 20-30 minute delay in children arriving home, or to daycare.”
