In April’s “State of the County” report, Cottonwood County Board Chair Tom Appel listed buildings as the number one priority for the year.
A few months later, he still sees it that way.
Recently, the board offered a preliminary plan for upgrades at the Law Enforcement Center, an upgrade that is now required by the Department of Corrections.
Meanwhile, plans for tuckpointing at the courthouse have been put on hold, thanks partly to the COVID impact. Supplies and materials for that project simply are not available.
