One of the rarest feats in golf occurred Monday evening at the Windom Country Club, when Brady Powers fired an ace on the par-four, 255-yard Hole 9 at the course, using a driver.
Powers was playing his Monday evening league match with his partner Nick Peterson, golfing against opponents Billy Hochstein and Kyle Haglund.
It is believed to be only the third par-four ace recorded in the history of WCC, with all of them occurring on Hole 9.
A full story on the ace will appear in the Aug. 4 print edition of the Citizen.
