Child care center eyes Windom

Nothing is set in stone, but at a recent meeting, the Windom Economic Development Authority took a closer look at assisting a potential new child care center in Windom.

“We are working with a private child care center out of the Twin Cities,” said Drew Hage, executive director of the Windom Economic Development Authority. “And we’re looking at the north wing of BARC.”

For the past few years, the Windom Area School District has leased that section of BARC. Now, with space available at the new elementary school and Highland School, the school is transitioning out and the BARC space will be available.
