Lunch Bunch get their book food

The Lunch Bunch were back at the Island Park Shelter House Thursday noon to get their book food.

A group of a dozen youth, ranging in age from first to sixth grades, were on hand, as well as a couple of adults. One family was enjoying their noon lunch as Nancy Sajban from the Windom Public Library read the book “Ice Cream Summer” to youth.

The group is called the “Lunch Bunch” because they have been meeting for the past three Thursdays in July at the shelter house from 12:30 to 1 p.m., to hear a story.

The last Lunch Bunch meeting is Thursday, July 29, starting again at 12:30 p.m. The Library’s Summer Reading Program “Reading Colors Your World” runs through Aug. 9.

Visit the library at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street to learn more about what the local library has to offer.
