At Tuesday’s meeting, the Windom City Council approved a request that would allow the first “Music on the Square” event to occur.
The request came from the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce. Plans are for downtown music to be played on the Courthouse lawn, starting at 4 p.m. on July 15. The evening is expected to include many other things, including an outdoor movie at dusk, bouncy houses for youth and a classic car roll in.
The event runs until 7:30 p.m. It has received preliminary approval from Windom Police Chief Scott Peterson.
