Senate OKs Higher Education budget

On Monday, the Senate passed the State’s biennial Higher Education budget with overwhelming bipartisan support.

The legislation provides crucial investments for the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The bill works to keep college affordable for students and gives them the support they need to be prepared for today’s workforce.

“Minnesota’s students are the leaders of tomorrow, and the Senate is committed to ensuring that they have access to a quality, affordable post-secondary education,” Senator Bill Weber (R-Luverne) said. “Regardless of your path, whether it is at a university, a trades school, or online, we want our students to have every opportunity to succeed.”
