Like all community celebrations in 2020, Westbrook Fun Days took a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
But it’s back in 2021 — and with five days of activities, beginning Wednesday.
Those planning to attend the community’s annual summer celebration can expect plenty of food — and a variety of it — as well as fun for all ages.
Of course, one of the highlights of the weekend is the annual Miss Westbrook Scholarship Program that will be held Friday evening in the high school auditorium. Six young ladies, who will be seniors at Westbrook-Walnut Grove High School in the fall, are vying for the honor of reigning as Miss Westbrook in 2021. They are Kelsey DeSmith, Kayla Freeburg, Isabelle Locke, Jaden Olson, Pachee Vue and Elizabeth Wiggins.
Eight elementary-age girls will be participating in the program for the honor of reigning as Little Miss Westbrook.
