The city of Windom Water Department has issued a water use advisory for the city.
The announcement came Friday afternoon from the city’s Water/Wastewater Superintendent Ryan Anderson.
Anderson said there presently is not a shortage of water, although he would like all residents and businesses to exercise good water use habits during what this peak usage event.
“We are asking users to refrain from any unnecessary water usage at this time,” Anderson said in a release Friday. “Good water use habits now will help alleviate the strain on our water system. We are not implementing any restrictions at this time, however that may become necessary in the future if this weather pattern persists.”
Anderson especially asks that people use good judgment when watering their lawns.
