River Road is expected to receive a significant overhaul in the area of 11th Street, thanks to Windom City Council action that occurred Tuesday.
The council approved the use of more than $81,000 in FEMA funds to patch a 480-square-foot section of the street that was impacted by frost boils and heaves resulting from flood-related issues of the past.
M.R. Paving received the bid and will work with DGR Engineering on the project.
Crews will dig out the base and replace it. They will then re-pave that section.
