The 2021 Miss Riverfest Pageant is still almost two weeks away, but audience participation begins today (Wednesday) with the start of online voting for Miss Photogenic.
This is the 18th year residents from the Windom area, as well as across the country, will be able to vote for Miss Photogenic. Due to the ongoing pandemic, voting will be done entirely online at www.windomnews.com.
Five contestants who are completing their junior year at Windom Area High School are vying for this year’s title. They are:
• Kaylan Donchez, Julie Snelling-Donchez.
• Mikalah Konz, Beck and Travis Konz.
• Brooklyn Paulson, Todd and Heather Janssen.
• Lucy Stevens, Dustin Stevens.
• Ella Wilde, daughter of Tom and Mara Wilde.
In addition, a Little Miss Riverfest, for girls completing their second grade year, will be crowned as part of the pageant.
Again, Citizen Online — at www.windomnews.com — is hosting this year’s voting. Simply click on “Vote for Miss Photogenic Contest” near the top of the page, which will take you to a page with photos of all five Miss Riverfest contestants, or click on the link below.
Click on the photo of the Miss Riverfest contestant you believe is most photogenic.
After an email box pops up with the contestant’s name in the subject line, simply click “send” and you have voted.
You may vote only once per email address per candidate. Any additional emails for the same candidate from the same address will be discarded.
Through online voting, the five contestants’ friends and family, who are scattered across the country, can play a part in the pageant even though they will be unable to attend.
Online voting for the pageant ends at 5 p.m., Friday, June 4.
