It is never a good idea to leave bicycles sitting outside, unchained — even in a relatively low-crime city like Windom.
Last week, a Windom woman told police two of her children’s bicycles had been stolen the previous night.
The theft, which occurred in the 400 block of Cindy Street, involved a blue Schwinn girls bike and an S-Race Team bike, both youth bicycles. They are valued at $300.
