Charger girls second at Red Rock event

The Adrian-Ellsworth girls and Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda boys captured team honors at a Red Rock Conference golf 18-hole event played Tuesday.

The girls’ portion of the tourney was at Slayton, while the boys played in Sanborn.

For the girls, AE won the meet with a 395 score. Westbrook-Walnut Grove took second with a 418. Red Rock Central was sixth with a 493 and Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey played with an incomplete team.

For the boys, HLOF won the meet with a 375. RRC was fourth with a 412. WWG was seventh with a 438 and MLAC was eighth with a 534.

WWG’s girls were led by Emma Wahl, who finished with a 101. Lexi Herding shot a 104, followed by Madison Martin with a 105 and Ivy Paplow with a 108.

RRC was led by Bailey Timm with a 108. Carlee Sell shot a 116, followed by Lexi Weber with a 118 and Aryanna Weber with a 151.

Olivia Christians was the lone MLAC golfer in the girls’ field, finishing with a 98.

For the boys, Justin Klabunde led RRC with a 90. Mason Gode shot a 99, followed by Matthew Horning with a 115 and Damian Osland with a 118.

Nathan Kuehl led WWG with a 91. Hunter Lien shot a 107, followed by Kole Curry with a 118 and Neil Kuehl with a 122.

Noah Rempel led MLAC with a 128. Daniel Gardiner shot a 133, followed by Harlan Munning with a 135 and Branden Hopper with a 138.
