The Windom Eagle fastpitch team couldn’t get anything going at the plate against Worthington’s Haley Grimmius Friday afternoon, as the Trojans rolled to a 10-0 victory over the Eagles at Worthington.
Grimmius held the Eagles without a hit, walked two and struck out 13 in the game. Both Eagle baserunners came via walks and each reached third base, but Windom wasn’t able to drive either runner home.
The Trojans scored single runs in the second and third innings, but used a six-run fourth to break the game open.
Jenna Veenker took the pitching loss for the Eagles, allowing eight runs on nine hits in four innings of work. She walked three and struck out three.

Cleveland 342 3x = 12-10-0
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey struggled in the field Friday afternoon, giving up nine unearned runs in a 12-2 loss at Cleveland.
MLAC committed eight errors in the field, which allowed Cleveland to score nine runs in the first three innings.
MLAC scored a single run in the second when Kayleigh Schumann reached on an RBI fielder’s choice.
The other Wolverine run scored in the fifth on an Ella Dockter RBI single.
Dockter finished with three hits in the loss. Jaci Tollefson added a pair of hits.
Brooke Naas took the pitching loss, allowing nine unearned runs in three innings. She allowed six hits, walked one and struck out two.
