At Tuesday’s Windom City Council meeting, Mayor Dominic Jones asked residents of Windom’s Ward 2 to apply for the upcoming council vacancy.
The position will become available June 1. Jackie Schmidt of the council has resigned, effective May 31 and Mayor Jones will handle the appointment, with the council’s approval.
Anyone interested in applying is asked to send a letter of interest to Windom City Hall and address it to Mayor Jones. Ward 2 mostly includes residents of Windom’s east side.
