Eagles 170, Arrows 179
The Windom Eagle boys golf team navigated through the wind Tuesday, claiming a 170-179 win over Pipestone at the Windom Country Club.
The girls’ portion of the meet was cancelled, as neither team would field a complete squad.
Freshman Eli Lund led the Eagle boys, earning medalist honors with a 39. Carter Rossow shot a 41, followed by Parker Alvstad with a 44 and Greyson Elder had a 46.
Red Rock Conference Boys
Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda’s boys claimed the team title, but Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s Harlan Munning had the highlight of the day at Tuesday’s Red Rock Conference Event, played at Rolling Hills by Westbrook.
HLOF shot a team score of 355. Westbrook-Walnut Grove was fourth with a 398. Red Rock Central was seventh (428) and MLAC was eighth (453).
The highlight of the day came for MLAC’s Munning, who aced the par-three Hole 3 during his second round.
WWG’s boys were led by Brady Ross and Hunter Lien, who each scored a 95. Kole Curry had a 101 and Nathan Kuehl shot a 107.
Mason Gode led RRC with a 91. Matthew Horning shot a 110, followed by Damian Osland with a 112 and Damon Holmen with a 115.
Aiden Rehnelt led MLAC with a 107. Munning finished with a 110, followed by Noah Rempel with a 114 and Layken Marcy with a 122.
Red Rock Conference Girls
Adrian-Ellsworth ran away with the team title at Tuesday’s Red Rock Conference Event, played at Fulda.
The Dragons finished with a 391 team score. Westbrook-Walnut Grove was third with a 433. Red Rock Central was sixth with a 496. Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey was incomplete.
Lexi Herding led the WWG girls, shooting a 96. Emma Wahl added a 108, followed by Ivy Paplow with a 109 and Madison Martin with a 120.
Carlee Sell paced RRC with a 111, followed by Bailey Timm with a 112. Lexi Weber shot a 121 and Aryanna Weber had a 152.
Olivia Christians was the lone MLAC player in the meet, finishing with a 111.
