The Windom Eagle boys were second and the girls third at the Murray County Central Invitational, held Friday in Slayton.
The Eagle boys scored 187 team points. Worthington won the meet with 203 points.
The Eagle girls scored 169 team points. Worthington won the team title with 223 points.
Individually for the Eagle boys, Alex Altman and Jose Rodas led a strong performance in the throws. Altman won both the shot put (43-1¼) and discus (129-7) while Rodas was second in the shot put (36-10½) and discus (105-7).
Dylan Serreyn added a win in the triple jump (39-4) and was second in the high jump (6-0). Ayden Berghorst won the 400 (1:00.83). Windom’s team of Bryan Macario Rios, Cameron Alm, Carter Vancura and Serreyn won the 4×200 relay (1:40.91).
For the girls, Delaney Smith swept the throws, winning the shot put (44-0½) and discus (118-5). Gracie Bucher won the 400 (1:02.06) and was second in the 800 (2:33.82). Jadyn Wormstadt added a win in the high jump (4-10). Lucy Stevens took second in the 400 (1:05.93). Kaylee Walklin was second in the 1,600 (5:28.29) and Charlotte Nauman was second in the 3,200 (14:49.85).
