Lakeview Invite
Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls and boys track teams each placed fourth at the Lakeview Invitational, held Tuesday in Cottonwood.
The Charger girls scored 64 points. MACCRAY/RCW won the meet with 116 points.
WWG/RRC’s boys finished with 47½ points. MACCRAY/RCW won the meet with 90 points.
The Charger girls scored big points in the 200-meter dash, as Kelsey DeSmith took first (29.43), Isabel Klumper second (29.98) and Elizabeth Strock fourth (30.30). The Chargers added a win from Abby Wiggins in the pole vault (7-6) with Kennedy Vold taking third (7-0).
DeSmith added a runner-up finish in the high jump (4-8) and Olivia Klumper was third (4-6). Ambrosa Yang took third in the long jump (13-3). Elizabeth Wiggins was third in the 100 hurdles (21.00) and 300 hurdles (1:03.50).
For the boys, Gabe Krick picked up the lone victory, taking first in the pole vault (9-0). He also was second in the 200 (25.01).
Coltin Pilaczynski was second in the discus (116-1) and third in the high jump (5-0). Christopher Xiong was third in the triple jump (36-8). Evan Bartholomaus took third in the 300 hurdles (1:02.49).
