Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central each took part in a four-team meet held Friday in Mt. Lake.
MLAC’s boys won the team title in the meet with 116 points. WWG/RRC was fourth with 31 points.
For the girls, Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda won the team title with 113 points. MLAC was second with 57½ while WWG/RRC was third with 43½.
MLAC’s boys were led by senior Jordan Toll, who captured first in the 100 (12.35) and triple jump (36-5½) and was second in the 200 (25.20).
Junior Cayden LaPointe added a pair of victories, taking first in the 110 hurdles (18.12) and 300 hurdles (46.64) and third in the triple jump (35-8½).
Freshman Zach Klassen added a win in the 1,600 (5:02.98). Freshman Kody Wassman won the 3,200 (11:01.73). Junior Wyatt Wall added a win in the long jump (17-6) and was third in the shot put (39-6).
MLAC’s team of Jordan Linscheid, Luke Klassen, Matthew Wiebe and Cole Kleven won the 4×200 relay (1:43.14) while the team of Caden Swoboda, Micah Holmberg, Zach Klassen and Kody Wassman won the 4×800 relay (9:34.29).
The Wolverine girls were led by junior Lana Kestner, who placed first in the 400 (1:11.09). Sophomore Kearney Wall added a first-place finish in the shot put (26-0).
The Wolverine team of Michala Morin, Kate Janzen, Riley Schroeder and Kestner placed first in the 4×400 relay (4:49.30) while the team of Janzen, Aleena Vetsouvanh, Schroeder and Kestner won the 4×800 relay (12:07.01).
WWG/RRC’s girls were led by senior Olivia Klumper, who won the high jump (4-6) and was second in the discus (80-3).
WWG/RRC’s team of Elizabeth Strock, Abby Wiggins, Isabel Klumper and Kelsey DeSmith also won the 4×200 relay (2:01.12). The team of Strock, Olivia Klumper, Isabela Klumper and DeSmith was second in the 4×100 relay (57.24).
WWG/RRC’s boys were led by senior Gabe Krick, who was first in the 200 (25.12) and pole vault (9-0).
