New Ulm Meet
The Windom track record book had another new entry after Thursday’s meet in New Ulm.
The Eagle girls finished second in the team standings at the five-team meet, scoring 76.33 points. St. Peter won the team title with 110.33 points.
Windom’s boys were fifth with 52 points. St. Peter won the team title with 107½ points.
Eagle Senior Delaney Smith broke the school record in the shot put for the second time this season, winning the event with a throw of 44-1. The previous record was 43-0. Smith added a win in the discus (122-8).
The Eagles added a win from Gracie Bucher in the 800 (2:30.65) and Jadyn Wormstadt in the high jump (4-10). Windom also won the 4×200 (1:59.48) and 4×400 (4:29.78).
Kaylee Walklin placed second in the 1,600 (5:33.98) and third in the 800 (2:40.82). Charlotte Nauman was second in the 3,200 (14:52.81). Windom added a runner-up finish in the 4×800 relay (11:57.64).
The Eagle boys were led by Dylan Serreyn, who won the high jump (5-8), took second in the 400 (56.06) and took third in both the long jump (18-8) and triple jump (40-0).
Alex Altman added a win in the discus (121-0) and was third in the shot put (42-0½). Windom added a runner-up finish in the 4×800 relay (9:32.50).
