Eagle boys take fourth at Worthington

Worthington Boys Invite

The Windom Eagle boys golf team finished fourth in the team standings Saturday at the Worthington Invitational, held at GreatLife Golf Course in Worthington.

The Eagles shot a 366 team score. Fairmont won the tournament with a 316.

Eli Lund paced the Eagle boys with a 90, followed by Greyson Elder with a 91. Carter Rossow shot a 92 and Landon Pillatzki had a 93.

Falcon girls 277, Eagles incomplete

The Windom Eagle boys golf team picked up a convincing dual meet victory over Red Rock Central Friday at the Windom County Club, while the Falcon girls defeated an incomplete Eagle girls’ team.

The Eagle boys claimed a 164-206 victory. RRC’s girls shot a 277 against an incomplete Eagle team.

Parker Alvstad captured meet medalist honors for the Eagle boys, firing a two-over-par 38. Landon Pillatzki added a 41, followed by Eli Lund with a 42 and Greyson Elder with a 43.

Justin Klabunde led the RRC boys with a 43. Mason Gode shot a 50.

Allie Ward earned meet medalist honors for the Eagle girls, scoring a 48. Lily Mellstrom added a 49.

Carlee Sell paced the RRC girls with a 63. Bailey Timm shot a 65

Charger boys 211, Rebels 232
Charger girls 227, Rebels 247

Westbrook-Walnut Grove overcame the cold Thursday to capture a sweep over Murray County Central at Rolling Hills near Westbrook.

The Charger boys earned a 211-232 win, while the WWG girls defeated MCC 227-247.

Nathan Kuehl led the WWG boys, earning medalist honors with a 41. Brady Ross shot a 49, followed by Hunter Lien with a 59 and Neil Kuehl with a 62.

Lexi Herding earned medalist honors for the Charger girls, scoring a 49. Madison Martin shot a 58, followed by Ivy Paplow with a 59 and Emma Wahl with a 61.
