At Tuesday’s meeting, the Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners approved a pair of conditional use permits for upcoming projects in the county.
The first was from Red Rock Rural Water Systems, calling for construction of a new water treatment facility in Section 8 of Great Bend Township. The project will replace a water treatment facility that is 40 years old.
The second was for a 40-acre expansion to the Red Rock Quarry in Section 12 of Amboy Township. One of the conditions is that haulers will only be allowed to use 270th Street to and from Highway 71.
