DVHHS now offering weekly vaccination clinics

COVID-19 vaccinations progressed to an entirely different level on Tuesday, the day Governor Tim Walz opened up vaccinations to anyone 16 years and older.

However, there are some caveats to that new allowance, especially when it comes to opportunities in Cottonwood and Jackson counties.
Evelyn Schaeffer, director of Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services-Public Health, reminds the public that only the Pfizer vaccine is available for those between 16 and 18 years of age. Pfizer is available at clinics and hospitals.

DVHHS-PH is not receiving the Pfizer vaccine, but the Moderna only.
Meanwhile, the single-dose Janssen vaccine, produced by Johnson and Johnson, is available at Peterson Pharmacy in Mt. Lake.
