Residents wake up to intoxication, car tampering incident

Some say that not much good happens after 1 a.m. How about after 5:30 a.m.?

It seems Windom police handled an alcohol-related incident at 5:46 a.m. on Saturday morning, an odd time for such a case. It started with a report that someone was attempting to break into multiple vehicles in the 600 block of 11th Street.

Upon investigation, a 25-year-old man was taken to Windom Area Health and transferred to a Brown County Evaluation Center. The man faces possible charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and disruptive intoxication, pending the county attorney’s review.
