For the second straight year, the Windom Area gymnastics team will be represented at the Class A State Meet.
Eagle junior Brooklyn Paulson advanced to the state meet for the second consecutive year after placing sixth on vault at the Section 3A Meet, held Saturday in Jackson.
Paulson scored a 9.0 in the event. The top three all-around finishers in the meet qualified as individuals in each of the four events. The top three individuals who were not all-around qualifiers also advance to the state meet.
Paulson added a ninth-place finish on floor (8.65) and a 10th-place finish on beam (8.45). She finished ninth in the all-around competition, scoring a 33.4.
Ada Lund added a 30.775 all-around total, good for 14th place, while Kadyn Paulson, in her first meet back from injury, placed 15th all-around with a 30.475.
The Eagle team finished sixth in the eight-team meet, scoring a 124.525 team total. Worthington won the team championship, scoring a 143.05.
Paulson advances to the Class A State Meet, which will be held Friday at Champlin Park High School.
