Vaccination efforts in Jackson and Cottonwood County has now served a good number of the 21,233 residents in the two counties as of Sunday, according to Evelyn Schaeffer, public health director for Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services.
As of March 20, of the 21,233 residents living in Cottonwood and Jackson Counties, 6,295 residents (30%) received at least one vaccine dose and 3,817 residents (18%) have been fully vaccinated through a collaborative effort among all partners.
DVHSS-PH is finishing up Phases 1a and 1b vaccinations and are now moving into Phase 1c. They include Cottonwood and Jackson County essential workers.
