Windom native Maria Schneider captured her sixth and seventh Grammy Awards Sunday.
Schneider won the Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album category for her July 2020 release of “Data Lords” and also won Best Instrumental Composition with “Sputnik,” one of the tracks on her new album.
Schneider, a 1979 graduate of Windom Area High School and a part of the first class of the Windom Fine Arts Hall of Fame, last won a Grammy in 2016 in the same category for her album “Thompson Fields.”
