A local woman died in an early-morning accident, Wednesday, according to Windom police.
Assistant Police Chief Cory Hillesheim, said that at 12:38 a.m. “officers responded to HyLife Foods for a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. The patient was said to not be breathing or moving when the Cottonwood County Dispatch received the 911 call. Officers arrived on scene and began CPR.”
The patient, identified as Eliza Willy of Windom, was taken to Windom Area Health and later pronounced dead. The truck driver was identified as Richard Nelson of Ormsby.
“There are no clear contributing factors at this time,” Hillesheim reported.
