School board hears plans for prom

Prom appears to have the green light for 2021, following Monday’s Windom School Board meeting.

At Monday’s school board meeting, Prom advisor Kelli Nibbe and High School Principal Bryan Joyce updated the board on plans for “Cloud 9,” which is scheduled for April 10.

Some past prom traditions are taking a year off. There will be no coketail party before Grand March and students will not board buses for the dinner and dance. Everything will be held at the WAHS campus.

Joyce added that students will be in pod groups throughout the evening and will be seated in those pods for the meal, which will not be served buffet-style.

The pods will then rotate through various activities through the evening, including the dance and other games, which will be held in different areas of the school.

A limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend Grand March.
