Directors and staff of Business, Arts and Recreation Center, Inc. in downtown Windom is opening its doors to the public for one of its annual fundraisers, the Chili Feed.
The event will be held Saturday, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., in the BARC gymnasium. In addition to delicious chili and toppings, chicken noodle soup and cinnamon rolls also are on the menu.
Assisting with the event are Hardee’s of Windom, Windom Hy-Vee and Thrivent.
To allow for social distancing, the entire BARC gymnasium will be used. Masks should be worn, but can be taken off to eat or drink when seated. Take-outs will also be available.
A freewill donation will be received with proceeds used to help offset the facility’s utilities expenses. BARC’s major utility cost is heating the building using its two boilers.
For more on how the proceeds will be used, see the story in the March 10 issue of the Cottonwood County Citizen on newsstands tomorrow.
