Efforts to build a new shelter at Tegels Park on Cottonwood Lake are off to a strong start, according to Eric Haken of the Windom Lions Club.
Haken said the club has raised $35,000 for a proposed 60 x 80 shelter with a stage. Haken and other Lions Club members are hoping that the quality and versatility of the proposed shelter would help encourage people to contribute.
“At least three-quarters of it could be enclosed,” Haken said. “It would be designed so you could have a door open on each side.”
