Eagle girls take third at home

The Windom Area gymnastics team ran into stiff competition Friday night, taking third in a triangular at Windom.

Worthington won the meet handily, scoring a 144.6. Pipestone was second with a 126.425 while the Eagles scored a 119.6.

Brooklyn Paulson led the Eagles in the all-around competition with a 32.65 to finish fifth. Paulson was the lone Eagle to place in an event, taking fourth on bars with an 8.2.

Paulson had team-high totals on vault (8.55) and beam (7.9) and tied with Ada Lund for the team’s top score on floor (8.0).

Ashlyn Altman added an 8.3 on vault.
