As of this week, there is a new face at Windom city hall.
On Monday, Charyl Ulferts began work as the city’s new finance director. Recently, the council unanimously voted to hire Ulferts of rural Lakefield for the position. She was one of 10 finalists for the job.
Ulferts comes to Windom after several years as finance manager for the city of Lakefield. She has 17 years of governmental accounting and knowledge of municipal utilities.
She replaces Chelsey Carlson who announced late last year she would be leaving her position as finance director, allowing her to spend more time with family.
