The theft of cash turned out to be, by far, the least expensive aspect of a recent burglary at Extra Touch Auto in Windom.
Police received a report from the owner, Paul Porath, shortly after 8 a.m. He said he arrived at the business to find his office door open, a window pried open and $40 missing. He also discovered that someone stole a camera DVR system from his computer.
The total value of the burglary, not counting damage to the window, was estimated at $290. The case remains under investigation.
