There have been a few school bus arm violations over the past couple of months, but rarely do they occur on rural highways.
However, the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Department is now investigating a report of an incident that occurred last week on County Road 4, north of Highway 30. According to the report, on the afternoon of Feb. 10 a vehicle went around the extended stop arm as the Red Rock Central bus lights were flashing. There were no students outside the bus at the time of the incident.
Similar cases have been reported in Windom this year.
