Turnovers doomed the Windom Eagle boys basketball team Tuesday night, as Redwood Valley’s second half surge sunk the Eagles 97-79 at Windom.
The Eagles committed 22 turnovers in the game, with many coming in the second half. That allowed the Cardinals to rally from a 12-point halftime deficit, ending the game with a 43-25 run after tying the game at 54.
The Cardinals made hay from the free throw line in the game, hitting 32-of-40 from the stripe.
Conner Redman led the Eagles with 24 points. Dylan Serreyn added 17 points, Abe McKibbin scored 16 and Henry Erickson added 13.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey got off to a fast start Tuesday night, building a commanding lead on its way to a 63-43 win at Edgerton.
The Wolverines hit nine three-pointers in the first half and 13 for the game. Kolby Kremmin sparked the first half surge, draining six treys to build a 22-point halftime lead.
Kremmin led the Wolverines with 22 points. Ethan Nickel added 10 points in the win.

WWG 30-29 = 59
Southwest Minnesota Christian remained undefeated Tuesday night, rallying for a 60-59 victory over Westbrook-Walnut Grove at Westbrook.
WWG held a three-point halftime lead, but the teams traded buckets much of the second half before SWC hit five late free throws to seal the victory.
Ethan Mischke led WWG with 26 points. Hunter Lien added 14 points in the loss.

The Red Rock Central boys basketball team picked up its third straight win Monday, sinking Adrian-Ellsworth 59-49 in Adrian.
The Falcons started strong on offense, building a seven-point halftime lead behind a balanced attack.
The Falcon defense then stifled Adrian-Ellsworth in the second half, holding the Dragons to seven field goals to secure the win.
Luke Willhite paced RRC with 16 points. Justin Klabunde added 12 and Dominik Smith scored 11.
