With single digit temperatures ahead, Rep. Rod Hamilton reminds residents heating assistance is available.
“Many families continue to struggle due to COVID-19 and are having difficulty paying their bills,” Hamilton said. “This program exists to help those who are debating if they should use their limited funds to stay warm or put food on the table.”
Hamilton said the Low Income Energy Assistance Program serves renters and homeowners, providing assistance to pay past due energy bills, avoid disconnection, purchase emergency fuel, or repair a malfunctioning furnace.
The application period is open until May 31. To d learn more, visit: mn.gov/commerce/eap.jsp.
