On Tuesday night, the Windom City Council voted unanimously to add Jaysun Sherman to the council.
Sherman will fill the final remaining year of former council member JoAnn Ray’s alderman-at-large term.
Mayor Dominic Jones, who was absent from Tuesday’s meeting, sent a report to the council indicating why he recommended Sherman for the seat. Jones explained that Sherman, a former council member, has experience on the council which would be valuable for the remainder of the year.
Sherman took the oath of office on Tuesday and was able to take part in that meeting.
